A couple weeks ago, we zipped over to Boulder to hang out with some of the coolest tech startups in the country.
First, we ate some grilled meats over at Pivotal Labs. Ethan had the privilege of working with Pivotal for the last few months, and the rest of us finally got to check out their beautiful facilities on Pearl Street.
After that, we headed over to the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art for a fascinating talk about humor and marketing.
We learned that humor often doesn’t prompt a new behavior, but it’s good for maintaining the status quo. So, if you want to keep your consumers, appeal to them with humor. However, if you want to hit a new demographic it may be best to engage them through more serious means.
Then, Commerce Kitchen drank coffee, ate sushi, had a beer (or two or three), then walked to Trada for their awesome party.
We had a fantastic time at Trada. Mingling with nerdsters was fun, but our favorite part of Trada (aside from the beers) was all the wheeled toys laying around. We raced around on big wheels and scooters, and generally made fools of ourselves. It was a ridiculous good time.
